Email marketing was at an all-time high last weekend. As America kicked off the holiday shopping season, businesses emailed their customers an average of 5.3 emails over the 5-day stretch from Thanksgiving to Cyber Monday. That uptick in emails translated into record sales: 247 million people spent nearly $60 billion online and in stores.
You can expect the trend to continue. According to HubSpot, 96% of businesses who used email marketing in their holiday push last year found sales success. More than half of those said their email campaigns were very or extremely successful.
Email is a can’t-miss marketing tactic this time of year. If you haven’t planned an email campaign to boost holiday sales, you should surely give it a try.
